Colourful boss Flavio Briatore said they laughed at him when he signed up for Friday 'Heathrow' testing in 2003. "We still do less testing than them," the Italian told formula1.com, "and now nobody is laughing. We worked out a perfect balance."
What's more, Briatore said Renault do everything 'less' than the elite few. "My motorhome is five years old," he revealed to the official website, "but I don't need a castle. "All the megalomania ... is ridiculous."

Sans trahir de secret sur le fonctionnement de Viry, je peux vous dire que le maître mot ici est : aller à l'essentiel.
Chaque solution technique est étudiée en terme de faisabilité, de coût et de gain de perfs.

Bernie Ecclestone believes that Renault will end Ferrari's unchallenged domination of F1 this season - and he couldn't be more excited.
Ferrari have won the last six constructors' championship titles, but the F1 supremo feels that Renault, who have triumphed in the first two races of the current campaign, are set to bring the Scuderia's empire crashing down.
"Judging from the first signs I cannot see any reason why Renault shouldn't do it this year," said the British tycoon.
"I hope Renault are ready to beat Ferrari and take the title from Michael Schumacher.
"We haven't seen the full picture yet but the results point to an end to the Ferrari era.
"Ferrari was only so dominant in the past, because the other teams worked so badly - unbelievably badly.
"Fortunately Renault and Mercedes seem to have really caught up. It would be marvellous if they could give Ferrari a hard time now."
And Bernie is also salivating at the distinct possibility that Renault's Giancarlo Fisichichella could win the drivers' championship.
"It would be simply super if Fisichella could beat Michael to the title," Ecclestone added. "Imagine an Italian beating Ferrari!"
